For university STEM instructors
Classroom polling for large STEM lectures
Photograph a slide, and the AI Assistant drafts a question with a wrong answer for each common mistake. Students answer on their own devices, with no app and no account, and the report shows which mistakes the room made.
Question 1 · 301 of 318 answered
A ball is launched at 30° above the horizontal. What is its velocity at the highest point?
A ball is launched at 30° above the horizontal. What is its velocity at the highest point?
How sure are you?
From your slide to a ready question
Describe what you want, paste your notes, or attach your slides, your outline or a photo of the board. The AI Assistant drafts the question beside your lecture, and nothing changes until you apply it.
- Wrong answers from real mistakes
- Each wrong option names the mistake that leads to it, so the report can tell you which one your class made.
- Equations, graphs and molecules that display
- Every formula, graph, diagram and molecule it writes is drawn and checked before you see it.
- Never in front of the class
- It never appears on the projector or on a student's device, and reports use no AI.
- Included
- Pro includes it, and so does the free plan with a university sign-in.
New question
A ball is launched at 30° above the horizontal. What is its velocity at the highest point?
- AZerothinks the ball stops at the top
- BThe horizontal part of the launch velocityCorrect
- CThe vertical part of the launch velocitytakes the vertical part for the whole
- DIt depends on the massthinks a heavier ball moves differently
Equations, graphs, molecules and code, on every device
Write the source you already use, or ask the AI Assistant to write it, and each student's device draws it. If a device can't, it shows the source, so no one sees a blank. Photos of a board or a slide work too.

Write the questions
Ask the AI Assistant to draft them from a description, your notes or a photo of a slide, or write them yourself.
- 2
Ask them in class
Students scan the code, answer on their own device and say how sure they are. You see the results before the room does.
- 3
Read the report
It is ready the moment you end the session.
A ball is launched at 30° above the horizontal. What is its velocity at the highest point?
How sure are you?
Every wrong answer has a reason
The report shows how many students chose each wrong answer, and how sure they were.
Session report · Sep 21, 2026
On question 1, 47% of the answers were correct. 38% chose “Zero” (thinks the ball stops at the top), and 61% of them were confident.
Question 1: confidence and correctness
Unsure includes guessing.
- Sure and wrong
- Confidence is set against correctness, so a guess and a misconception look different.
- The same question, next year
- Ask it again, and both runs appear side by side, each with its date.
- Questions that need work
- Ask the AI Assistant which questions need work, and it reads your results to tell you.
- One result as an image
- Export any question's result for the first slide of your next lecture.
Anonymous by design
Students never sign in, and nothing we keep identifies them. For each question, we keep only figures for the whole room. The AI Assistant never receives anything about a student, and we don't keep your conversations with it.

Questions
- What if the lecture runs over?
- End whenever you need to. Next time, the lecture picks up at the first question you didn't ask.
- Do I have to use the AI Assistant?
- No. Every part of Tapsity works without it, and reports never use AI.
- What does the AI Assistant see?
- What you write or attach, your course, and a question's result from a session only if at least 5 devices answered it in that session. It never receives your name, your email or anything about a student.
- Can it take attendance?
- No. By design, Tapsity can't tell who answered.
- Is it only for STEM?
- It is built for large STEM lectures, and works just as well in any subject.
